Paula Abdul will be playing herself in an NBC comedy that was sort of inspired by her cheerleading and dancing days.

The Kourtney Kang pilot is based on her life and what it was like to growing up a mixed race family in the suburbs of Philly.  Kourtney wants to become a Laker Girl like her idol Paula Abdul.

Paula will play a “fun, imaginary version of herself,” according to Deadline.com.

This should be a great show considering Kourtney has written and produced some of the funniest shows on television, like “How I Met Your Mother” and “Fresh off the Boat.”

We can’t wait to see Paula, straight up!
