Since the big news that George Clooney was going to be a dad broke two weeks ago, everyone and their grandmother has had something to say about it. Celebrity pals have both congratulated and ribbed the actor, taking delight in the fact that he has no idea just what he’s in for.

But finally, we have the scoop on where George is on all of this!

As we all know, George and wife Amal are expecting twins, a boy and a girl, reportedly due in June. During an interview with the French show,  Rencontres de Cinema, George said, “We are really happy and really excited. It’s going to be an adventure. We’ve sort of embraced it all with arms wide open.”

George, who will be 56 years old when the babies arrive, says he’s cool with becoming a dad later in life. He said he that 89-year-old French actor, Jean-Paul Belmondo, who had a baby at 70, has been an inspiration to him, and added, “I’m feeling a little better about being 56 by the time [they come].”

George said his buddies have been very supportive, but definitely haven’t missed any opportunities for laughs at the star’s expense. He said that one day while he was hanging out with some friends, “It got really quiet. And they all just started making baby crying noises, and the whole table just busted up laughing.”

According to AOL.com, Amal has selected the hospital in London where she plans to deliver, with a backup option in New York City, just in case that’s where they are when the time comes. They have also reportedly started decorating the nursery in their $12 million home just outside of London.
