While the world was focused on Milo Yiannopoulous’ appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher, later in the evening Bill was joined by Leah Remini who made some very heroic statements about Scientology, the church she was part of most of her life.

The actress has seen tremendous success with her A&E show about Scientology, and in a previous interview on the Joe Rogan Experience, she even said that church leaders would cover up crimes made by John Travolta and Tom Cruise if they had to.

But in her interview with Bill, she got more in depth:

“I didn’t realize that because we were required to study two-and-a-half hours daily, like, minimum,” she said. “We are looking up the words, we are being checked out on the policies of Scientology.” Bill then interjected, “You’re telling me Tom Cruise does this?”

“Yes,” Leah responded. “Not only does Tom Cruise do exactly that … Now, I don’t want you to get the idea that he’s not, that certain policies are not being bent for him because they are and that is the truth, and that is part of the hypocrisy.”

She added, “He could end this.”
