LOL! Read How Melissa McCarthy Ended Up Playing Sean Spicer

Who isn’t obsessed with Melissa McCarthy’s portrayal of Sean Spicer on SNL? According to People, she was basically born to play the part since Saturday Night Live writer Ken Sublette approached her personally to play it.

Ken wrote the skit with Melissa in mind, and she “immediately jumped on board,” reports People. Her first performance was so successful that she returned a second time.

Before we knew it, Hollywood came out the woodwork to join Melissa and Alec Baldwin in their impressions of the Trump Administration. And if we’re being totally honest, this is the funniest SNL has been in a long time.

To have a true company of A-listers dedicated to make Trump’s team funny (they need all the help they can get) might help us all find the funny in such turbulent times — really, we just love seeing Melissa in a toupee.
