The third season of American Crime Story will be about the murder of fashion designer Gianni Versace, a story that shocked the nation in 1997. The killer, Andrew Cunanan, committed suicide eight days after the Miami Dade police were about to capture the killer, who was on a killing spree murdering five people in total.

The actor they got to play Andrew Cannon is none other than Darren Criss — now that’s a promotion from Glee we’d say!

Versace: American Crime Story is based on the book Vulgar Favors by Maureen Orth. Production for Versace will run simultaneously with Katrina: American Crime Story, yet another season of Ryan’s series, which has already booked Annette Being, Courtney B. Vance, Sarah Paulson, and Cuba Gooding Jr.
