Ed Sheeran stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest and shared some shocking news: even performing at The Grammy Awards doesn’t guarantee you an invite to Grammy parties!

When Ryan told the singer that he had read that morning that Ed had tried to get into his own label’s Grammy after-party and was denied, Ed replied, “Yeah, that’s actually happened four years in a row, and that’s not just my label’s after-party, that’s just after-parties in general.”

What???!

He went on, “It’s just – do you know what I don’t get… it’s like you walk into those parties and there’s four musicians there and everyone else there are people from LA who didn’t even go to the Grammys and just want a party to go to.” He added, “So I went to Benny Blanco and Diplo’s party and arrived there super-early, and suddenly 2,000 people turned up and I was like, ‘I’m going’.”

Ed told Ryan that performing “Shape of You” live at the Grammys last Sunday was much more his thing than socializing. He said, “That’s my element. Performing is what I love doing. I’m more nervous to talk to people because I’m not very good.”

Well, it looks like he dodged a bullet then!
