Looks like Katy Perry is in some hot water after the Grammys!

The singer made a few subtle jabs at Britney Spears while on the red carpet last night. When asked about her newly platinum blonde, tousled bob, Katy replied, “It’s the last color in the spectrum that I can do, I’ve done all of them and the only thing left to do is shave my head which I’m really saving for a public breakdown. I’m down for that.”

A bit later on, Ryan Seacrest mentioned to Katy that there had been a  “pause in [her] music.” Katy responded curtly, saying, “Yeah, that’s called taking care of your mental health.” When Ryan asked how that was for her, she replied, “Fantastic, and I haven’t shaved my head yet.”

Katy was obviously referencing Britney’s 2007 head-shaving episode, which occurred during the pop star’s very public battle with her mental health.

The digs were not well received on social media,  and Britney’s fans fiercely defended her. One tweeted, “Ironic how yalls woke queen Katy Perry screams “no hate” an hour after making fun of Britney’s mental stability on the red carpet.”

Good point. Let’s hope that’s all the “catty” from Katy.
