If this is what winning a Grammy amounts to, sign us up!

We’re not exactly sure who started the trend, but we do know (thanks to E! Online) that Drake and Jay Z started taking shots out of their Grammy awards in 2013 — now it’s become kind of a tradition.

When the cast of Hamilton won their Grammy, they definitely didn’t throw away their shots. Last year, Daveed Diggs began during shots of tequila in the trophy, and everyone who came backstage had to take it. Gotta love the theater!

Lin-Manuel Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr. and Phillipa Soo joined in!

But here’s the thing… Drake is nominated for eight Grammys, Jay Z isn’t, but Beyonce is. So if they win this year, who will be doing shots?!
