The first couple are retired from the presidential office after eight years of hard life-changing work. Top priority is to get some much-needed rest and water surfing — who better to host than billionaire Richard Branson?

The Obamas went to Palm Springs where they spent 10 days on a private island, belonging to Rochard, and they got into some mad water sports.

“One of the first stories Barack told me when he and Michelle arrived on Moskito Island was how, just before he became President, he had been surfing on a dangerous break in Hawaii,” Richard wrote on Virgin.com “When he came in from an exhilarating session, the new head of his security team turned to him and said: ‘This will be the last time you surf for eight years.’ For the next eight years he didn’t have the chance to surf, enjoy water sports or do many of the things he loved.”

Well judging from what we see in the video, he picked it back up very quickly!
