Looks like Madonna’s brood might be growing after all!

While visiting Malawi last month, Madonna had denied reports that she was there to pursue adopting more children. She had told US Weekly, “I am in Malawi to check on the children’s hospital in Blantyre and my other work with Raising Malawi, and then heading home. The rumors of an adoption process are untrue.”

Well, according to an exclusive report from MailOnline, the singer’s plans have changed. Madonna was granted permission from Malawi’s High Court to adopt twin girls, Stella and Esther Mwale. The two girls would join her other adopted children, Mercy James and David, also from the impoverished African nation, bringing her total to four.

According to Reuters, Madge was in the courtroom at the time of the ruling, and was all smiles.

Madonna developed The Raising Malawi Foundation in 2006 to benefit the children living in the poverty-stricken country. In an October interview with Oprah Winfrey, Madonna opened up about why she felt compelled to adopt from the third world nation. She said:

“To see 8-year-olds in charge of households. To see mothers dying with Kaposi’s sarcoma lesions all over their bodies. To see open sewages everywhere. To see what I saw. It is a state of emergency. As far as I’m concerned, the adoption laws have to be changed to suit that state of emergency. I think if everybody went there, they’d want to bring one of those children home with them and give them a better life.”

Though the adoption process was extremely difficult, she went on to adopt 11-year-old David in 2008, and 11-year-old Mercy James in 2009.

Madonna, Stella and Esther will reportedly leave Malawi within the next 24 hours on a private jet headed to her home in New York.

Congratulations, Madonna!
