It’s no secret that Mark Wahlberg is a die hard New England Patriots fan, but even more than that? He’s a hell of a good dad.

While attending the Super Bowl in Houston on Sunday, he had to leave the game early because his child wasn’t feeling well.

“I had to leave the game early because my youngest son wasn’t feeling well,” he wrote on Instagram. “Trust me, I would have loved to be at the stadium — but family first. Doesn’t mean I don’t love my Patriots too!”

The father of four is SO forgiven. Plus, they were able to catch up on the game in their hotel room:
