‘Making a Murderer’ Season 2 is Happening, You Guys!

We were absolutely obsessed with Making a Murderer, the Netflix show that sparked a frenzy about our legal system, highlighting the story of Brendan Dassey and his uncle Steven Avery, who may (or may not) have been falsely accused of killing photographer Theresa Halback in 2007. Watch the trailer here:

Brendan’s conviction was overturned last year, but he still remains in prison. At the time, the series executive producer spoke about it, saying, “Today was a major development for the subjects in our story and this recent news shows the criminal justice system at work. As we have done for the past 10 years, we will continue to document the story as it unfolds, and follow it wherever it may lead.”

Now, according to People, new episodes of the series might be released at the end of the year! A Netflix spokeswoman stated, “we have no launch date set as of yet.”

Supposedly, the second season is in production in Wisconsin, but not a lot of people at Netflix even know about it.

Netflix VP Cindy Holland said to USA Today, “Very few people inside of Netflix actually know the details of what we’re getting because we’re wanting to keep it really under wraps and it is an ongoing case so we’re trying to be sensitive to that.”

So much mystery! Now we’re even more intrigued!
