Mary Tyler Moore broke our hearts when she passed away, January 25th.

Today, longtime friend and co-star Valerie Harper tweeted a beautiful statement.  Although short and sweet, you could hear the love in her words.

Valerie played Mary’s best friend and upstairs neighbor Rhoda Morgenstern on The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

She told People.com this:

“…I cannot stop the emotions I’m experiencing, since she was my acting colleague, my sister/soulmate, and above all, ONE HELL OF A GIRLFRIEND!”
