The Oscar nominations are in and Lin-Manuel Miranda (37), Hamilton creator and star, is in the running for Best Original Song from the animated movie Moana. Miranda wrote the music and lyrics for the song “How Far I’ll Go” from the Disney feature.

This makes Miranda one win away from getting an EGOT: an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony.

He is already the proud recipient of an Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for production of the 67th Tony Awards; two Grammy Awards for Best Musical Theater Album for In the Heights and Hamilton; and three Tony Awards for In The Heights and Hamilton. But wait, there’s more! He also has a 2016 Pulitzer Prize in Drama.

Only 12 have ever done it in competitive categories:

  • Richard Rogers
  • Helen Hayes
  • Rita Moreno
  • John Gielgud
  • Audrey Hepburn
  • Marvin Hamlisch
  • Jonathan Tunick
  • Mel Brooks
  • Mike Nichols
  • Whoopi Goldberg
  • Scott Rudin
  • Robert Lopez

Fun Fact: The acronym EGOT was coined by actor Philip Michael Thomas of Miami Vice and pastel clothing fame.

Find out who wins when the 2017 Academy Awards take place on February 26th.
