Natasha Bassett should have had a wonderful experience playing Pop Princess Britney Spears — who wouldn’t? But apparently, running around in Brit’s shoes was a tighter squeeze than expected.

“It was extremely traumatic,” Natasha said to New York Daily News. “It was traumatic having to experience through my eyes what she experienced… I mean, she’s not like anybody else. Her entire life, she’s been chased by paparazzi and she’s constantly being scrutinized and in the public eye, so it’s not normal. I really appreciated how strong she is. Emotionally, the way she got through the constant pressures that she was faced with is admirable.”

The 23-year old Australian will be in Lifetime’s Britney Ever After, which chronicle’s Britney’s life at the start of her career, her relationships, all the way to her 2007 meltdown. Now that’s a movie we’re dying to see.
