According to Ciara, abstinence makes the heart grow fonder! At least when it came to her relationship with her now husband, Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson.

In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan South Africa magazine, Ciara discussed their well-publicized decision to hold off on sex until after they were married. She said:

“I have to give credit to my husband for sharing those views. It’s awesome how it all worked out,” Ciara told the mag. “We women think with our hearts and with our minds. When we see a guy, we envision what he’s like and whether this could be something special. Guys see us from an exterior point of view — that’s something I learned along the way as a woman.… You shouldn’t feel like you have to give your body away to get someone to like you.”

The gorgeous couple, who started dating in 2015 and were married in July, and announced in October that a baby is on the way.
