Aaron Rodgers is the star of the Green Bay Packers, and he led them to a playoff victory against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night, but behind the allure of sport stardom, there is a secret.

Aaron’s dad spoke about his dysfunctional family in a piece for The New York Times: “One on the news is enough for us,” Aaron’s father Ed spoke about his sons. His other child Jordan Rogers is a sports commentator, former NFL quarterback, and winner of The Bachelorette, season 12.

Aaron has reportedly not spoken with his family since 2014, but remains close to his ties in Chico, California.

Ed said, “Airing public laundry is not what I would have chosen to do… It’s good to have it all come out.” He also noted that he doesn’t “think it’s appropriate to talk about family stuff publicly,” but “fame can change things.”

Last Summer, Aaron spoke a little about his family estrangement in an interview with WISN, saying, “As far as those kinds of things go, I’ve always found that it’s a little inappropriate to talk publicly about some family matters. So I’m just — I’m not going to speak on those things, but I wish [Jordan] well in the [Bachelorette].”
