Octavia Spencer is currently starring in the hit film Hidden Figures and decided to pay if forward to those less fortunate. The award winning actress bought out the Friday, January 13, 2017, 8 p.m. screening at a Baldwin Hills movie theatre for her movie for those that can’t afford a ticket. Spencer was also honoring her late mother on this Martin Luther King Day weekend. Spencer lost her mother, Dellsena, at the young ago of 18 years-old. Spencer credits her mother for seeing no boundaries and the sky is the limit. What a wonderful gesture.

Tomorrow I've bought the 8pm showing of #hiddenfigures the rave Baldwin hills. If you know a family in need that would like to see our movie but can't afford it have them come. It's first come first served. My mom would not have been able to afford to take me and my siblings. So, I'm honoring her and all single parents this #mlkweekend Pass the word.
