Late Monday night, January 9, 2017, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie released their first, and probably only, joint statement regarding their divorce. Their reps released the following:

“The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues. The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification,”

Pitt tried to have a judge seal all of their documents relating to their children and divorce back in December but was denied by a judge overseeing the case. Luckily, it now appears both have agreed to be adults and protect their six children.

Divorce is never easy for the two parties and even more difficult for the children.
