Most celebrities’ private lives are continuously out there for all to see and read about, so it’s very rare for a couple to be able to keep personal matters, well, personal. Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendez seem to be particularly skilled at keeping things as under wraps. During his acceptance speech for “Best Actor In A Motion Picture-Musical or Comedy” at the Golden Globe Awards, Gosling sweetly acknowledged the tough time his wife was going through as he was filming La La Land. He thanked her, credited her strength, and dedicated his award to her and her brother, who recently lost his battle with cancer, but never once even mentioned her by name. Pretty impressive!

But, you really have to be in know to have caught her even more subtle response to his touching gesture. Eva took to Instagram to post this fashion shoutout, and indirectly thank her sweetheart:
