David Bowie Didn’t Know His Cancer Was Terminal

A new documentary is revealing the real story behind David Bowie’s battle with cancer. 
The pop icon died at the age of 69 due to liver cancer almost a year ago.

The documentary, David Bowie: The Last Five Years, sheds lights on the fact that David didn’t’ know his cancer was terminal until soon before he died.

According to Johan Renck, the director for David’s final music video, “Lazarus,” David discovered his cancer was terminal only three months before his death, while he was still working on the video.
