Actress Debbie Reynolds has died, just one day after the death of her daughter, Carrie Fisher, according to NPR.

Earlier today, Hollywood Holler reported that Debbie was taken away in an ambulance as a result of a possible stroke.  She was at her son’s home in Beverly Hills planning the funeral of her daughter.

The 84-year-old had a long career as a film actress, most known for the movie Singing in the Rain.

Debbie and Carrie had a close and complicated relationship. Much of it was outlined in Carrie’s book Postcards from the Edge, which was made into a movie.

We are sending our condolences to the entire family during this extremely difficult time.
