Katie Couric Returns to the Today Show!
Katie Couric co-anchored Today from 1991 to 2006, which catapulted her into stardom. Now she’s returning — well, only for a week, but who cares! The host confirmed she will be substituting co-anchor for Matt Lauer’s current on-air partner, Savannah Guthrie, E! News reports.
Guthrie will be on maternity leave after giving birth to her second child earlier this month. Other co-hosts set to fill the chair while she’s away are Meredith Vieira and Natalie Morales, both will appear in January.
Katie has been an anchor for Yahoo! for a couple years now, and also produced a documentary about the sugar industry called Fed Up and a documentary about gun safety called Under the Gun.
Welcome back, Katie!
