Lamar Odom sat down with The Doctors’ Travis Stork before he admitted himself into a rehab facility this week. The NBA star discussed the night he was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel, which ended up being widely publicized.

“I didn’t know until Khloe [Kardashian] had told me that I was in a coma,” Lamar said. “I couldn’t even speak at the time. I couldn’t talk. Nothing would come out when I would open my mouth, so I was scared. I wasn’t in a good place mentally, especially mentally before that incident happened. Me and my wife at the time were going through some things. I was in a dark place. They say everything happens for a reason, so I guess the reason is I’m here and I can tell the story.”

Lamar and Khloe recently finalized their divorce, and since the interview he’s checked himself into rehab. Hopefully he’ll have a speedy recovery and get back on the basketball court soon!
