Last year, Kesha sued music producer Dr. Luke claiming he emotionally and sexually abused her. Obviously the news created swarms of investigations, leading to an even more emotional lawsuit this year when she tried to get released from her contract with Sony.

The judge denied it, saying she was being unreasonable.

But multitudes of female singers came out in support, one being Adele, who gave her a shout-out during her acceptance speech at the Brit Awards. But in an interview with Billboard, Kesha says she did more than that.

“Adele is nothing but class,” she said. “She reached out to me privately and publicly in the middle of winning her own award [at the Brit Awards]. What a beautiful soul.”
