Heath Ledger has now become a legend. When he died, the world felt they lost one of their favorite rebels. But none was more devastated than Michelle Williams.

The two had a daughter, Matilda, a year after dating. When he died in 2008 at 28-years old, not only did she lose one of the greatest loves of her life. Her daughter also lost her father.

“In all honesty, for pretty much everything else, I feel like I’m a believer in not fighting circumstances, accepting where you are and where you’ve been,” she told Porter magazine. “In pretty much all senses, but one. I would be able to go totally down that line of thinking were it not for Matilda not having her dad. I mean, it just won’t ever be right.”
