Sting helped reopen the Bataclan music venue in Paris, France. The venue has been closed since the deadly Paris attacks in 2015.

The singer took time to remember those who lost their lives with a moment of silence. Sting also posted on his Instagram his message to the audience.

Sting new album, 57th and 9th, his first album in 13 years, was released on November 11, 2106.

In re-opening the Bataclan, we have two important tasks to reconcile. First, to remember and honour those who lost their lives in the attack a year ago, and second to celebrate the life and the music that this historic theatre represents. In doing so we hope to respect the memory as well as the life affirming spirit of those who fell. We shall not forget them.
