CBS is reportedly thinking of doing a spin-off of “Big Bang Theory” according to Entertainment Weekly.  The number one comedy on TV for the past six years is approaching its 10th and possibly final season.

The supposed spin-off is in the very early stages and the only main cast member attached is Jim Parsons who plays Sheldon Cooper.  The story will focus on his character as a 12-year-old prodigy, according to Deadline, and will be a prequel to the original show.

The Huffington Post has reached to Parsons’ rep for more information, and CBS declined to comment.
