‘Borat’ Fans Raise $50K to Pay ‘Betrayed’ Babysitter Jeanise Jones

After watching Borat 2, sympathetic fans have raised thousands of dollars for Jeanise Jones, a babysitter in the film who claimed she was “betrayed” by filmmakers.

“I thought it would be great to give people a vehicle to say thank you in a tangible way” said the Rev. Derrick Scobey, Jeanise’s pastor at Oklahoma’s Ebenezer Baptist Church, who spearheaded the crowdfunding campaign.

In the film, she plays the hired babysitter for Borat’s daughter Tutar, who is slated to be married off to an older man. However, she told The Post that she was tricked by recruiters into thinking that the film was a real documentary about grooming gangs.

“I’m thinking this is for real, so I felt kind of betrayed by it,” she said, adding that she spent weeks worrying over Tutar, who she thought was a child bride.

She reportedly discovered the truth when the film’s trailer came out.

Rev. Scobey, launched a GoFundMe page to compensate her properly after she was only paid $3,600 for the role. So far, it has garnered almost $50,000 of its $100,000 goal.

“She is one of the most authentic people I’ve ever met,” the pastor wrote. “One good thing that has come from this is that Jeanise doesn’t have to worry about ‘Tutar’ anymore. She has worried about this young lady for a year.”

We’re so happy she’s getting compensated what she deserves.
