Kris Jenner Thinks Social Media Killed ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’

Kris Jenner is partially blaming social media for the end of her long-running series Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which will wrap its 20th season on E! next year.

“When we first started, there was no Instagram or Snapchat or other social media platforms,” she told WWD’s Beauty Inc. special issue.

She continued, “The world has changed. Now there are so many [media options] … the viewer doesn’t have to wait three or four months to see an episode. We can give them all of the information anyone would ever want to know in real-time.”

“Social media is the fastest and most controlled way to get the message out,” she added.

Well, in many ways we understand what she’s saying but at the same time, we think social media also boosted their careers rather than diminished them.

Still, we’re going to miss the show.
