Jada Pinkett Smith’s mom, Adrienne Banfield-Jones, shared some recent revelations about Jada’s dad, Robsol Pinkett Jr, who died of an overdose in 2010.

A teaser for the upcoming episode of Red Table Talk shows Jada asking her mom whether she’s ever had non-consensual sex, to which Adrienne replied yes but that it was a “grey” area.

“I have, but it was also with my husband,” Adrienne said. “Your dad, actually, so that’s really grey.”

“That is grey … but you do hear that a lot,” Jada replied.

Adrienne has been candid about her history with Robsol in the past. In season 2, she alleged that she was a victim of domestic violence during their relationship.

“He was a violent drunk. He gave me a black eye once,” she said. “He started hitting me and he was in a rage.”
