The Emmys Excluded Nick Cordero From In Memoriam Segment

During the 2020 Emmy Awards’ In Memoriam segment on Sunday, there were a couple important names that were left out: Nick Cordero and Sam Lloyd.

Nick’s pal and co-star Zach Braff expressed disappointment, sharing that the award show “passed” on including Nick — who died in July at 41 after a months-long battle with COVID-19.

The actor also tweeted a note he apparently received from Emmy staffers:

Zach also took time to note that the Emmys left out TV start Sam Lloyd:

Of course, even though Nick was primarily a Broadway guy, he had a recurring role in CBS’s Blue Bloods and made appearances in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Queer as Folk and Lillyhammer.

Thank you for bringing attention to Nick, Zach. He and Sam will be missed.
