Oprah Demands Justice for Breonna Taylor by Buying Several Billboards in Kentucky

Oprah Winfrey is using her money to bring justice to Breonna Taylor.

A week after the media mogul featured Breonna on the cover of September’s issue of O Magazine, she took out billboards around Louisville, Kentucky to “demand that the police involved in the killing of Breonna Taylor be arrested and charged.”

Also included is a link to UntilFreedom.com, a social justice advocacy group currently focused on Breonna’s case.

“If you turn a blind eye to racism, you become an accomplice to it,” a quote reads on the billboard.

Breonna was killed by police gunfire in the middle of the night on March 13, after cops entered her Louisville home with a “no-knock warrant” based on a tip that her partner, Kenneth Walker, had trafficked drugs through her home.

Believing they were intruders, Kenneth fired one shot. Officers then shot over 20 bullets. Kenneth survived, but Breonna died.

What an amazing thing. Thank you, Oprah.
