Um… yes please!

Tom Hanks is reportedly eyeing the role of Geppetto in Disney’s planned live-action Pinocchio remake, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

According to reports, Tom actually agreed to the role two years ago, when Paul King (Paddington) was signed on to direct. However, Paul later dropped out, putting Tom’s interest “in brief limbo.”

When it was announced that Robert Zemeckis was brought on to make Pinocchio, Tom was back on board!

Tom has worked with Robert on several classics, including Forrest Gump, Cast Away, and The Polar Express.

At this time, there do not appear to be any official statements from Disney or Tom’s people about confirmation, but it’s still exciting right?!
