Toni Braxton Speaks Out After Tamar’s Alleged Suicide Attempt

Last week, Tamar Braxton’s boyfriend, David Adefeso, said that she was hospitalized for a possible overdose that has since been understood to be an alleged suicide attempt.

At the time, he said that Tamar is receiving the best possible health care and vowed to stay by her side as she treated her depression.

“This is an extremely difficult time for Tamar and her family as she navigates professional and personal struggles including her battle with depression,” he said in a statement. “Tamar is currently receiving the best available medical attention to address those struggles and strengthen her mental health, and her family and I will remain by her side throughout her treatment.”

Now, the Braxtons are uniting together.

“First and foremost, thank you,” Tamar began in a message on Instagram.

“Thank you to each and every individual who has prayed for me, thought of me, sent me their love and has showered me with their support,” she said. “In this present moment, it is my only responsibility to be real with myself and to be real with the ones who truly love me and care for my healing. I have without fail, shared with you my brightest days, and I know that sharing with you what has been my darkest will be the light for any man or woman who is feeling the same defeat I felt just only a week ago.”

Toni Braxton shared a photo on Instagram of all of her sisters, including Tamar, and wrote, “Family is everything! Especially sisters!”

Trina Braxton later reposted the photo.

According to reports, WE tv has postponed Tamar’s new series, Get Ya Life! until she recovers.

We’re sending all the love and light to the Braxton family .
