‘Saturday Night Live’ Will Reportedly Return to the Studio Without an Audience

Saturday Night Live was forced to make some major changes since the pandemic by turning their shows virtual — but we weren’t complaining. They were still funny AF!

Now, according to Variety, the show will be back in the studio for Season 46, albeit with one major change: no audience.

Reportedly, the NBC series will likely implement several strategies in order to keep cast and crew safe, and will be filmed in a “controlled” environment without a live audience.

In the same vein, The Tonight Show also went back into production in their studio, which apparently provides a template for how SNL could work.

NBC declined to comment on the news with Variety, and has yet to announce a premiere date for SNL, which typically comes back in the fall.

We don’t know about you, but we need some comedy back!
