John Boyega Wants to Move On From ‘Star Wars’

John Boyega would rather move on from the role that made him famous.

John, who played Finn in the three latest Star Wars films, recently told a commenter on social media that he is choosing to not to let Finn define his entire career.

“Force Finn in action with Green lightsaber dressed in black is all I want from the next SW film!” a user wrote.

John then replied: “lol no thank you. I’ve moved on [heart emoji].”

When the user replied, “Really just got those Disney bucks and dipped,” John responded:

“Nope. Not into playing one role for too long. I have more to offer than that. That’s all.”

Of course, this is not the first time that he has expressed desire to move on from the franchise.

Earlier this year, a Twitter user described The Rise of Skywalker as “embarrassing,” to which John responded: “Embarrassing? LOL you wish. Very fulfilling, some disappointments but yet not that big of a deal. Everyone has moved on…..”

Hm… well, the thing about Star Wars is that it’s kind of a phenomenon so it’s probably best to ride the coattails for as long as you can. Right?
