Cardi B Criticized For Using Asian Slur
Folks are coming after Cardi B for using an Asian slur while describing her sister’s eye shape.
It all started when the rapper shared a photo of what her 2-year-old daughter Kulture might look like as an adult.
When a fan noted that Kulture looked like a combination of the rapper’s husband Offset and her 24-year-old sister Hennessy, Cardi replied in a now-deleted post: “I think cause Hennessy got chi**y eyes like offset and so [does] KK. Its the only thing I could think off.”
When the comment was criticized, she later blamed it on her own ignorance.
“I didn’t know that chi**y eyes was a slur like wtfff I DONT KNOW F–KIN EVERYTHING !!” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “We don’t even use that as an insult and I didn’t use it as an insult.”
Eek! Well, we’re pretty sure she’s not going to hear the end of this.
