Winona Ryder to Testify in Court on Johnny Depp’s Behalf
According to reports, Johnny Depp’s exes, Winona Ryder and Vanessa Paradis, are expected to testify on his behalf next week in his libel trial against the Sun newspaper.
The court made the announcement this morning during the actor’s fourth day on the stand in London’s High Court.
As we previously reported, he’s suing the newspaper over a 2018 article that called him a “wife beater,” which he has vehemently denies despite court records sharing disturbing incidents he had with former wife Amber Heard.
Winona and Vanessa are expected to appear in court via video link, according to Sky News.
Both have given statements supporting Johnny and insisting he was never violent toward them. Amber will also take the stand next week — but in person.
This trial has certainly created a media firestorm, eh?!
