‘Glee’ Star Naya Rivera Missing in California Boating Incident
We’re devastated.
Glee star Naya Rivera has been presumed dead after she went missing from a boat at a California lake during an outing with her 4-year-old son.
According to reports, the actress rented the pontoon boat Wednesday afternoon with her son, Josey, at Lake Piru. Three hours later, another boater found Josey alone and sleeping on the vessel.
Authorities say the boy was wearing a life vest but Naya wasn’t, and an adult vest was found on the boat.
“We’re going on the belief that she did go in the water and we have not been able to locate her,” police told reporters last night. “So this may well be a case of drowning.”
Authorities launched a series of dive teams, a helicopter and a search drone — but it was suspended overnight. Foul play is not suspected.
We’re so horrified by this news. All we can do is pray.
