Broadway Stars Remember Nick Cordero

Actors of stage and screen are mourning the death of late theater star Nick Cordero, who passed away this weekend after a months-long battle with COVID-19. He was 41.

Zach Braff recalled his final text with Nick, posting on Instagram: “The last thing he ever texted me was to look out for his wife and one year old son, Elvis. I promise the world they will never want for anything. I feel so incredibly grateful I got to have Nick Cordero enter my life.”

“Nick Cordero passed at 11:40am today with his wife and mother by his side,” Zach added. “I have honestly never known a kinder person. But Covid doesn’t care about the purity of your soul, or the goodness in your heart.”

Nick’s wife, Amanda Kloots, announced his death Sunday, after sharing updates with the world over the last few months.

A GoFundMe page was set up in April to help support his family. As of Monday, over $758,000 had been raised.

Other actors like Lin-Manuel Miranda and Viola Davis chimed in with their memorials as well.

We’re sending his family love and light. Hug your loved ones today.
