Justin Bieber Felt ‘Shame’ Over George Floyd And Ahmaud Arbery Deaths

In a recent CNN interview, Justin Bieber revealed that he felt deep “shame” following the deaths of George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery.

“I’ve been feeling shame in the sense of like, why did it take these men being killed for me to… take a blanket [from] over my eyes. Why now? I do feel bad when it comes to that,” the singer said. .

Justin’s wife Hailey Baldwin later shared the clip on Instagram.

“As a white woman, I know I am privileged, and I didn’t always understand what that really meant,” Hailey captioned on IG. “I will never understand what it’s like to be racially profiled and targeted and wake up everyday uncertain if I could lose my life because of the color of my skin.”

She continued: “I want to know better so I can do better and I will not stop asking these questions and having these conversations. I want to keep learning how to be an ally, and I refuse to keep walking through life being ignorant.”

Thank you for being so honest, Justin and Hailey.
