Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Daughter Was Arrested in George Floyd Protests

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s daughter was among those arrested during protests over the weekend.

Chiara de Blasio, 25, was taken into custody last night, according to People, for unlawful assembly. She was then issued a desk appearance ticket and released.

According to the New York Post, the demonstration she was arrested in was in lower Manhattan. Reportedly, Chiara was blocking traffic and refused to move alongside other protesters.

According to WCMH, at least 345 people were arrested in New York City on Saturday. The Mayor has not addressed his daughter’s arrest as of yet, but spoke about the protests during a press conference on Saturday. (see below)
