John Cusack Says Police Nearly Assaulted Him During Protest

John Cusack showed up at the protests in Chicago and says he faced police batons after trying to film a burning car.

The star posted footage on Twitter and shared that police “came at” him with batons in an attempt to stop him.

“Cops didn’t like me filming the burning car so they came at me with batons,” he wrote. “Hitting my bike. Ahhm here’s the audio.”

John can be heard shouting “All right, all right, all right, I’m going” as a police officer screams, “Get your bike out of here” while appearing to strike the bicycle with his baton.

We’re so happy he’s safe. Check out his video above.
