Reese Witherspoon Reflects on Her 2013 Arrest

Reese Witherspoon is looking back heavily on her past.

On a recent episode of Jameela Jamil’s podcast I Weigh with Jameela Jamil, the actress went in on the experience.

“You apologized and shamed yourself in a way that was so f—ing refreshing to me,” Jameela said. “I loved your apology.”

“But I did something really stupid,” she said. “It was so embarrassing and dumb. But, you know what — [it] turns out I breathe air. I bleed the same way. I make dumb decisions. I make great decisions. I’m just a human being.”

She added, “We’re all just the same as each other and we’re all trying to find what our special skills are. My special skill is storytelling but that doesn’t mean I’m a special person.”

Just in case you forgot…

In 2013, Reese was arrested for disorderly conduct after she left her car against orders from a police officer to remain inside. At one point, she was heard saying, “Do you know who I am?”

The actress later pleaded no contest to her disorderly conduct charge, paid a $213 fine, and was ordered to perform 40 hours of community service.

Well, we’re happy that she can look back and turn it into wisdom.
