Jersey Shore star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is doing his part so that folks living in New Jersey can stay safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The former reality star-turned-entrepreneur recently donated his time for a clip, posted by the governor’s office, urging people to take the stay-at-home orders seriously.

“This message is for the people, by the people: We got a situation,” he said in the clip. “New Jersey is tough. We love to party and we love even harder. But the time for parties is over.”

He added, “In fact, some of us are prolonging this pandemic by not following simple guidelines. Be smart and do your part to flatten the curve. Stay home, be positive, and practice social distancing. The comeback is always greater than the setback.”

“We got this, New Jersey,” he ended.

Earlier this month, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy prohibited any parties, celebrations and other social events, ordering residents not to leave their homes unless absolutely necessary.
