Michelle Obama’s New YouTube Special Focuses on Global Women’s Education

To bring in International Women’s Day, former first lady Michelle Obama launched YouTube’s upcoming special, Creators for Change on Girls’ Education.

In it, she sat down with YouTube creators Liza Koshy, Prajakta Koli and Thembe Mahlaba to discuss the state of girls’ education around the world.

The special will be officially released on March 17, and will take viewers to Vietnam, India and Namibia where the creators visit programs supported by the Girls Opportunity Alliance.

The crew was also joined by Julia Roberts, Jenna Bush Hager and Lana Condor in Vietnam, where they met with girls benefiting from a program called Room to Read, a nonprofit organization that advances gender equality through education, as People magazine reports.

This is our kind of initiative!
