Brad Pitt Skipped The BAFTAs So He Could Be With Estranged Son Maddox

As we previously reported, Brad Pitt was a no-show at the BAFTAs — but now we know it was for a very good reason.

The star wasn’t there because he reunited with his estranged son, Maddox.

Brad was scheduled to attend the British awards show but canceled at the last minute, citing a “family obligation.” Margot Robbie ended up accepting his award for best supporting actor in Once Upon a Time in … Hollywood.

“Maddox gave Brad the chance to talk and he dropped everything,” a source told The Sun.

In case you don’t know, the father and son had a falling out in 2016 after an incident aboard a private plane in LA, during which Brad reportedly got drunk, screamed, and allegedly hit him.

The incident prompted then-wife Angelina Jolie to call the FBI. She divorced him days later. The FBI cleared Brad of any wrongdoing.

“Maddox has been away at university so when Brad found out he was going to be around and they could have a conversation, he canceled the UK trip,” a source told The Sun.

Maddox is a freshman studying biochemistry at Yonsei University in South Korea.

We’re so happy this is happening, and we hope that they find it in themselves to settle their differences.
