Meghan Markle’s Estranged Dad Will be a Key Witness Against Her in Court

We’re sick of reporting about Megxit, too! But it’s the story that keeps on breaking. So, get this…

Meghan Markle’s estranged dad will likely be a key witness against her in an upcoming court case, according to legal papers.

As we previously reported, Meghan is suing the Mail on Sunday newspaper in the UK for printing a letter she wrote to her father, Thomas Markle, for not attending her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.

Now, 75-year-old Thomas plans to be the key witness testifying on behalf of the paper, according to new documents filed in London’s High Court.

According to Page Six, Thomas Markle will help prove that Meghan was behind a smear campaign against him in the run-up to her wedding. Apparently, he’s already provided the paper’s lawyers with a series of text messages between him, Meghan, and Harry.

One of the texts allegedly includes an angry exchange with Prince Harry, the Daily Mail reports.

“I’ve done nothing to hurt you Meghan or anyone else,” the dad allegedly wrote, according to the report. “I’m sorry my heart attack is … an inconvenience for you.”

The former Duchess is accusing the newspaper of copyright infringement, misuse of private information, and violating the UK’s data protection law by publishing her letter.

This is such a sad situation, and our hearts go out to their family during this rather dramatic time.
