The Mail on Sunday is revealing more details about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s decision to step down from their senior roles as members of the royal family.

“I have never seen the monarchy in such a bad state,” a palace insider told the outlet. Apparently, Meghan and Harry told Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau about their decision before Queen Elizabeth, who reportedly found out about the bombshell news minutes before it went public.

“Despite the traditional setting, the Queen is understood to have read the announcement on an iPad before watching coverage as broadcasters revealed the shock announcement to the country,” the palace insider explained.

As a result of their news, the royal family felt “hurt” and “deeply disappointed,” the source added.

Eek… well apparently the monarchy will all be having a “family meeting” to discuss the matter, so hopefully things might be resolved.
